About Dundee Rock.

Dundee Rock is a 100% Aboriginal-owned construction company with over 35 years of experience, offering advanced construction services across Australia. Nationally accredited with Supply Nation, in addition, hold accreditations from the Kinaway Chamber of Commerce in Victoria as a Deadly Black Member, the Northern Territory Indigenous Business Network, and Contractor Accreditation Limited.

Dundee Rock is a highly qualified contracting business, that has recently united with David Smulders in Victoria to expand its operations and capabilities by now qualifying Unrestricted Occupational Practitioners Licensing across all ranges and capabilities nationally. We provide quality construction and specialised services, working collaboratively with clients to leverage decades of experience.

Our highly skilled workforce enables us to deliver a high standard of services to our clients, largely due to our ongoing training and development program. Organisation and planning are a key part of Dundee Rock’s approach, which is inherent in our Management and Team Leaders.

Operating nationwide, our clients range from government departments and local councils to non-profits and private companies.

Central to this collaboration is a dedication to the aboriginal community, emphasising the generation of opportunities, mentorship, and educational support. Thomas comes from the Wakka Wakka and Kabbi Kabbi people. From the missions to the cattle stations, his family endured the hardships that came with the era of the Stolen Generations. Thomas has over 35 years of experience in the building and construction industry. Over the past three decades, he has built Dundee Rock from a small business to a substantial enterprise capable of partnering with governments and multinationals to deliver outstanding projects. Thomas has a solid reputation for being reliable and honest. As a loyal and extremely hard-working businessman, Thomas has a natural capacity to build long-lasting and authentic working relationships.

Dundee Rock Accreditations

Jerome Sorgel.

Jerome Sorgel, a Githabul man residing in Melbourne, Victoria, joined MANN as an Assistant Project Manager at the age of 20. Since then, he has been onboard, thriving in his role and contributing positively to the workplace. 

Following his employment, Jerome said: ‘this is an opportunity that I value and am grateful to MANN, as it will offer me long term employment and valuable skills leading to a much more prosperous future for me and my family.’

Womenin the workforce.

Lauren is a safety representative and established demolition subject matter expert at Mann.  Motivated by the high-risk environment, physical demands of the industry and contributing to large scale Tier 1 projects, she transitions between various responsibilities.

Overtime Lauren developed a deep appreciation for the importance of prioritising workplace health and safety for herself and her colleagues, leading to obtaining Cert 4 in Work Health and Safety and multiple plant and equipment tickets.
